Ajanta Pharma, Lenexis Food Works and Samta Foundation Join Hands and Contribute to Fight COVID-19 Pandemic

Mumbai, April 23, 2020: As responsible corporate citizens of the nation, Ajanta Pharma, Lenexis Food Works Chinese Wok and Samta Foundation extend their support to fight this COVID-19 pandemic.

Ajanta Pharma has committed Rs 6 crore for this cause out of which Rs 2 crore has been directly contributed to Prime Minister CARES Fund and the remaining Rs 4 crore is being spent on providing necessary help to Government of Maharashtra, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM/ BMC) and other agencies.

Lenexis Food Works (Chinese Wok) and Samta Foundation are extending their support to BMC (G South Ward) during this COVID-19 pandemic by pledging a total of 2.5 lakh meals (8,000 per day) to the most affected citizens of Worli area such as Jijamata Nagar, BDD Chawl & Koliwada who are impacted amid the severe lockdown.

Lenexis Food Works (Chinese Wok) and Samta Foundation themselves are also pledging a total of 30,000 ration bags to the most affected citizens of Maharashtra who are impacted amid the lockdown -benefiting to 1,20,000 people.

They have donated two swap collection booths at Nair Hospital and Cooper Hospital.

They have recently aligned with health department and local Government bodies and provided medical equipment such as PPE Kits, gloves, eyewear and sanitizers to doctors, nurses and BMC staff.

The corona virus is posing a serious never-before challenge for the lives and livelihoods of millions of people.There are millions of people who are unable to protect themselves. So as a matter of basic human solidarity, this is the moment to step up for the vulnerable. A crucial time to fight against the virus.
