Aurobindo Pharma’s consolidated net profit declined 19 per cent to Rs. 404 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015, against Rs.502 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous financial year.
The total revenue of the Hyderabad-based company had increased 35.7 per cent at Rs.3,162 crore (Rs.2,329 crore), as per the audited results declared on Thursday.
For the full year ended March, Aurobindo posted 34.3 per cent increase in the net profit at Rs.1,576 crore (Rs.1,172 crore).
The total revenue too, increased to Rs.12,120 crore (Rs.8,099 crore).
The board of directors had approved a bonus issue of shares of one equity share for every one equity share held by equity shareholders. Aurobindo’s scrip lost 2.57 per cent on the BSE on Thursday to close at Rs.1304.15. Business Line
