Celebrating 169 years of giving back, kiehl’s india launched limited edition ultra facial cream in association with cry india

TO SUPPORT CHILD EDUCATION AROUND THE WORLD

In Proud Partnership with Neha Dhupia

Mumbai, August 21, 2019: Kiehl’s since 1851 has been committed to the betterment of the communities where it serves its patrons.  In celebration of the brand’s 169th Anniversary, Kiehl’s India has come together with CRY India as their philanthropy partner for the brand’s campaign #HealTheScars for year 2019. Renowned Bollywood actress, Neha Dhupia visited the Sparsha Charitable Trust, CRY project in Sion, Mumbai on the 19th of August’19 and spent a day with the children at the facility. Kiehl’s launched the limited edition of their bestseller Ultra Facial Cream and will donate $2 of each unit sold to support the cause. Both Kiehl’s and CRY believe that One Child Less At Work Is One Child More At School. The campaign aims at reducing child labor and sending around 6500+ underprivileged children back to school.

With Kiehl’s customer-centric heritage and decades-old commitment to local communities, this year Kiehl’s India will focus its philanthropic endeavors for the cause of child labor and children education rights. “We are very happy to associate with Cry India for this noble cause and hoping to encourage our customers to realize the importance of giving back” added Shikhee Agrawal, AVP, Kiehl’s

“Forced by poverty and the absence of basic living amenities, these children are forced to start earning from a very young age and we at Kiehl’s strongly believe that only access to quality education can make a big difference in their lives.  One child less at work is one child more at school. With this initiative we hope to curb the curse of child labor by sending more and more children back to school.” Shikhee Agrawal, AVP, Kiehl’s

“CRY is delighted to partner with Keihl’s. CRY for last 4 decades has been working relentlessly to ensure happy and healthy life to children. We firmly believe that ensuring right to education goes a long way in reducing the magniture of child labour. This partnership will give more strength to our efforts in mainstreaming our children into education and thereby reduce child labour,” says Kreeanne Rabadi, Regional Director CRY-West.

“If there is one child away from work, it is one more child getting educated. So it is really important for me to spread the message that education is really important. People usually talk about magical things, Kielhl’s Ultra Facial Cream Limited Edition cream in association CRY Foundation, is this magic cream for us. As this noble initiative is helping us give back to the society. At the CRY Centre, we realised that it is really hard for the children to get it to college as they drop out due to various reasons, and it is good to see CRY work towards getting these children a better future and it is really good to see an international brand like Kiehl’s partnering with them for such a noble cause.” Neha Dhupia.

In line with the Mission of Kiehl’s that states that we are “To improve in some way the quality of the community, making for better citizens, better firms, and better communities.” , Kiehl’s India  focuses its efforts first and foremost on the betterment of its local communities by targeting philanthropic endeavors on the needs and concerns of its citizens. With its legacy dated back to 1851, Kiehl’s began as Old-World Apothecary and is now considered to be one of the pioneers in the beauty industry growing from strength to strength.
