Dr V S Mehta, Director and Chief of Neurosciences, Paras Hospitals Gurgaon, receives ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at 6th MT India Healthcare Awards

  • Gurgaon, March 21, 2016: Padam Shree Dr V S Mehta, Director and Chief of Neurosciences, Paras Hospitals Gurgaon, who has pioneered a series of advancements in Neurosurgery in India and helped revolutionize medical expertise in the field, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 6th MT India Healthcare Awards 2016 for Medical Excellence in Neurosurgery.

Dr Mehta was honored for exceptional contributions unanimously by the jury at the prestigious at 6th MT India Healthcare Awards for Healthcare Organization at Medical Fair India 2016 this past week.

The 6th MT India Healthcare Awards aim to recognize and honor the leaders in healthcare sector. Adjudged by jury members of national and international repute who evaluated the nominees on their contribution in their respective medical fields in research, clinical excellence, medical proficiency and patient outcomes, the awards received nearly 3026 nominations from across health care and related sectors.

Dr (Prof) VS Mehta, Director and Chief of Neurosciences, Paras Hospitals Gurgaon , is one of India’s Top Neurosurgeons. With an extensive experience as the Head of Neurosurgery and Chief of Neurosciences Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. V.S. Mehta is regarded as an institution and a veteran in the field of neurosurgery. Dr. Mehta was also elected as the president of the Neurological Society of India and as the President of the South Asian Neurosurgeons. Over the years he has been extensively associated with the National Brain Research Centre India, Head Injury Foundation India and various NGO’s associated with research, education and awareness. Dr Mehta has also been a pioneer in the country for treating Low Grade Gliomas . He has also been instrumental in introducing Image Guided Tumor Navigation Technology making Paras Hospital the first private establishment to implement the same in Delhi NCR.
