Galderma launches BI-LUMA, a safe and effective skincare solution, in India

  • Blended with natural ingredients, BI-LUMA is scientifically formulated to restore the skin’s even tone and glow
  • BI-LUMA is a rich creamy, non-greasy and steroid-free formulation that spreads easily on the skin

New Delhi, September 25, 2014: Galderma, one of the world’s leading company focused on dermatology and skin health, today launched in India its new clinically-tested skin lightening cream BI-LUMA, a unique, non-greasy and steroid free formulation specially engineered for restoring even skin tone and glow.

The cream introduced by Galderma, whose path-breaking products are the preferred choice world over, is very effective for providing relief from stubborn dark patches and unevenness that surface due to various hyperpigmentary disorders.

The product, which was launched in the presence of its brand ambassador, the dazzling Bollywood star and model Hazel Keech, contains natural skin lightening ingredients, along with UVB filter and anti-oxidants which act synergistically to block melanin hypersynthesis pathways and distribution, at various stages.

As per latest reports from IMS, India’s hyperpigmentation market is valued to be Rs. 391 crores and is growing at 19% per year. With its flagship brand Cetaphil, Galderma is present in the Indian market with its prescription-based products. Its aesthetic range of Restylane products, especially skin boosters, have been drawing encouraging response in the country.

“In India, people generally suffer from various hyperpigmentary disorders such as melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) that result in an uneven skin tone. We are present in the Indian market for the last 15 years and have been introducing products which are unique and reliable. Like all our dermatology solutions, we are confident that our latest product will emerge as an effective dermatological solution for patients suffering from hyperpigmentary disorders and restore their skin with an even tone and glow,” said Mr G Sathya Narayanan, Managing Director, Galderma India.

BI-LUMA offers a unique, three-way solution – it corrects melanin hyper-synthesis and distribution; boosts anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory defense; and protects the skin from UVB radiation.

BI-LUMA is available at chemist and drug stores across India. The usage of BI-LUMA cream is simple and is advised to be applied twice daily. The product spreads easily on the skin and shows visible results within four weeks. CCI Newswire
