Importance of Healthy breakfast for Kids

New Delhi, May 20, 2017: Breakfast literally means – Breaking the fast – it provides the body and brain with fuel after an overnight fast. Without breakfast you are practically running on an empty fuel tank. While breakfast should be eaten within two hours of waking up, a nutritious and wholesome breakfast is a must to energize you during the day.

For children the importance of a healthy breakfast is paramount. With a long day ahead of them, without a balanced breakfast they feel lethargic and have short attention spans. Also, children who don’t eat a good breakfast tend to eat more junk food during the day — snacks that are high in fat and sugar and low in nutritional value.

Apart from providing us with energy, breakfast foods are good sources of important nutrients such as calcium, iron and B vitamins as well as protein and fibre. The body needs these essential nutrients and research shows that if these are missed at breakfast, they are less likely to be compensated for later in the day. Nutritionist and Dietitian Sonia Narang decodes some of the essential everyday spices that can boost the metabolism and rejuvenate the mind and body.

Saffron or Kesar

Saffron – is used for preventing cancer, boosting memory and is also great for your skin.

Cloves – offer many benefits, some of which include providing cure to toothache and sinusitis.

Mace – helps in reducing joint pain, treating sleep disorders and improving blood circulation while Basil boosts immunity, cures sore throat and is also a pain reliever.

Nutmeg – is a popular spice that has a long list of associated health benefits, including the ability of fighting depression, kidney cleanse and maintaining good liver health.

Cardamom – It improves digestion, relieves acidity and regularizes your heart rate.

Tulsi – which is one of the most revered ingredients is aptly called the Holy Basil with its endless list of health benefits. Right from clear skin to dissolving kidney stones, tulsi is tonic for the entire body. is rich in antioxidants which help in mitigating stress and conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and so on.

But most of the times we find it very difficult to incorporate these essential ingredients in our daily diet. Here in lies the beauty of a product like Panchamrit Energy. A simple milk based drink that is ideal for consumption by any individual of any age group and especially children. Panchamrit Energy promises nutrition without any additives- it is free from added colors, flavors and preservatives.

A refreshing drink that kids will love because of its ease of consumption and its fun and joyful appeal. Complementing or even replacing a traditional breakfast, Panchamrit Energy offers the same level of nutrition and energy, if not more.
