India’s leading diabetes carecentre, Dr.Mohan’s opens its 3rd centrein Bangalore

Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centres launches its third Diabetes Centre in Malleswaram

Bangalore, July 12, 2017: India’s foremost Centre of Excellence in Diabetes Care, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centres opened its third clinic in Malleswaram, Bangalore Today at Rudhra Chambers,11th cross 4th Main Road.Inaugurating the branch was Dr. DC Sundaresh, Director, Sri SathyaSai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Whitefiled Bangalore, Dr. R.M. Anjana, Managing Director, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centres. Also present at the inauguration was Mr. SubhamBardhan, CEO,Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centres and Dr. Praveen Gangadhara, Consultant, Malleswaram Branch.

Dr.Mohan’s DiabetesSpecialties Centre Private Limited started in 1991 by Dr. V. Mohan, as a pivotal care point to arrest the alarming rise in number of people affected by the disease. India is slated to become the diabetic capital of world with over 69 million people impacted by diabetes.

Over 40 million people in India are affected by diabetes. About 15 per cent of the adult population in Bangalore has diabetes. According to a report titled Global Prevalence of Diabetes by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in May 2004, the projections for the year 2030 show that in developing countries the number of people with diabetes will be close to 60 million in the age group of 20 to 44 years, and over 140 million in the age group of 45-64 years. It points out “the greatest absolute increase will occur in India,” where 79.4 million people will be affected by diabetes across all age groups (based solely on demographic changes). In Bangalore, often been called the “diabetes capital,10 to 15 per cent of the adult population is affected with diabetes and the numbers are certainly on the increase as more people slip in to sedentary lifestyles.
