New Delhi, June 19, 2021: The Heroes of our police force have been on their toes patrolling the streets since the lockdown was imposed in March last year. However, this selfless act of service may affect their risk of depression, anxiety, diabetes, and heart problems in the long run.
Amidst this, HCMCT Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka wanted to do something to honour them for protecting while risking their own health every day, and what better time than Men’s Health Week to do so. As a token of thanks, Manipal Hospitals organised an awareness health session for officers including yoga and diet counselling and health screening on the morning of June 17 at Sector 9 Police Station in Dwarka area.
With 50 police officers in attendance, the session started with an induction, and then progressed to an activity on the importance of staying fit and healthy along with a few nutrition management tips by dietician. Conclusively, organised health screening for heroes including ECG, BMI, and blood pressure tests.
For the lady officers, gynaecologist shared information on menopause and what foods they should eat to stay fit. Manipal Hospitals have been dedicated to healthcare sector for over six decades and aim to serve everyone to the best of their capabilities.
They believe in spreading the word about the importance of maintaining well-being sans barriers of gender. And this Men’s Health Week, salute all those brave men out there who leave no stone unturned in doing their duties to protect all selflessly.
