Medanta’s COVID Safe Commitment to Patients

End-to-End Services, World-Class Safety Benchmarks

Gurugram, May 19, 2020:  In continuation of delivering world-class healthcare, during the COVID-19 pandemic,Medanta (https://www.medanta.org/)has reinforced its stringent, internationally benchmarked infection control protocols to ensure the greatest level of patient safety. Medanta’s COVID safe environment ensures maximum safety of patients throughout the hospital campus.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman & Managing Director, Medanta said, “Hospitals have and must adapt and evolve to treat patients amidst this challenging environment to ensure no one suffers because of lack of treatment. As a committed healthcare provider, it is our responsibility to ensure this continuum of care in the most protected and safest environment, while focussing on the safety of our patients, attendants and staff. While aspects like home care and tele-medicine have taken centre stage during COVID, services provided by hospitals must be accessible 24X7 for those in need. Medanta has ensured that our full spectrum of healthcare services continue in the safest environment.”

Additional measures include:

  • Mandatory thermal screening and assessment of COVID symptoms. People who may exhibit symptoms are immediately transferred to an isolated Flu Clinic and/or a dedicated COVID hospital designated by the Government.
  • Only one attendant is allowed with a patient and must compulsorily wear a mask and sanitise their hands before entering the premises.
  • The hospital staff ensures social distancing between visitors.
  • Patients who are candidates for elective surgery also have to undergo testing either at the hospital or submit their test reports from any other Government approved facility.

Apart from patients, the hospital is also ensuring the safety of the staff and premises through regular sanitization, usage of PPE, hand hygiene, social distancing, training on recognition of symptoms and triaging of sick patients and other measures as per the Government guidelines.
