Pharma stocks in pain; Divi’s Lab, Dr. Reddy’s Lab top losers

New Delhi, November 27, 2017: Pharma stocks Divi’s Laboratories (down 1.65 per cent), Dr. Reddy’sBSE -0.56 % Laboratories (down 1.43 per cent) and Cadila HealthcareBSE 0.62 % (down 1.27 per cent) were trading in the negative territory in afternoon trade on Wednesday according to economictimes.indiatimes.com.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.50 per cent down at 9,300 around 01:50 pm (IST).

Shares of Aurobindo PharmaBSE 2.69 % (down 1.14 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (down 0.80 per cent), LupinBSE 0.30 % (down 0.63 per cent) and GlaxoSmithKline PharmaceuticalsBSE -0.79 % (down 0.22 per cent) were also in the red around that time.

CiplaBSE -0.46 % (up 0.63 per cent) and Glenmark PharmaceuticalsBSE -0.14 % (up 0.19 per cent) were the two components in the Nifty Pharma index that were trading up around that time.

According to the reports published in economictimes.indiatimes.com benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 25 points up at 10,352, while the BSE Sensex was 127 points up at 33,606.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Ashok Leyland, State Bank of IndiaBSE -0.79 %, Punjab National BankBSE -0.24 %, Bank of BarodaBSE -0.65 %, Idea CellularBSE -1.46 %, SAIL, Tata Motors, DLF, ITCBSE 0.85 %, ICICI BankBSE -0.64 %, YES BankBSE 0.14 % and Tata PowerBSE 0.64 % were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange.

Economictimes.indiatimes.com further added that zee Entertainment, Adani Ports SEZ, GAILBSE 1.99 %, State Bank of India, HDFC and Tata Motors were among top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Tech MahindraBSE 0.89 %, Bharti Infratel, Bajaj FinanceBSE 1.22 %, Dr Reddy’s Labs, HindalcoBSE -1.35 % and Aurobindo Pharma were among the losers in the Nifty50 index.
