This facility will provide assistance in various heart-related procedures like Angioplasty, Angiography, Rota ablation, intravascular ultrasound, TAVI & other structural heart diseases, Pacemaker, amongst many other procedures. The facility will also help Doctors work with superior confidence and avoid technical hitches, as they will have an image-guided visualization of the patient’s heart, automatically segmented according to the type of procedure recommended.  On this occasion Jagannath (appa) Shinde, president MSCDA,  MLA Ganapatsheth Gaikwad, corporator Naveen Anant Gawli, IMA president Prashant Patil and directors of Star City Multispeciality Hospital Dr. Pravin Bhujbal, Dr. Pradeep Shelar, Dr. Bhavesh Chauhan, Dr.Umesh Kapuskar, Dr. Rajesh Pastaria, Dr. Chandan Singh, Dr. Chandrakant Shivsharan, & Cardiologist Team Dr. Pankaj Kasar, Dr.  Pankaj Patil, Dr. Sachin Chaudhary was present on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pankaj Kasar – Cardiologist from Star City Multispeciality Hospital said, “Our aim is to create a world-class integrated healthcare delivery system, entailing the premium medical skills combined with compassionate patient care. Thane district is no longer a rural zone now it is a highly developed urban area; especially Kalyan city and surrounding area has developed rapidly in the last 5 years. Now Kalyan residents no need to travel Thane or Mumbai for heart care treatment which took a lot of time to travel and many times heart patients lost their life as they miss out Golden hour which is most important after Heart attack. The rationale behind to start advanced Cathlab is to bridge this gap and bring the latest in diagnosis and treatment in Kalyan city.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) became the leading cause of mortality in India. More and more younger adults are getting symptomatic also. Evidently, people are postponing hospital visits until it is unavoidable. Disruptions in travel and transport have further prevented many people from smaller towns and rural areas from reaching hospitals for Heart treatment. Notably, heart disease is responsible for one in four deaths in India today with ischemic heart disease and stroke responsible for more than 80% of this burden. As many as 2.8 million Indians died due to heart disease in 2016. Evidently, heart disease is a bigger pandemic than coronavirus and medical care for heart patients must not be sidelined at any cost. added by cardiologist Dr Pankaj Kasar.
