Quality Metrics and Quality Culture Workshop in Mumbai

There has been much discussion between FDA and its stakeholders with regards to the institution of Quality Metrics. In January 2018, the voluntary phase of the program will be piloting, and the mandatory phase will follow later by rule.  It is important that companies
align their internal measures to FDA’s proposed quality metrics. Keeping this in mind Treffen Media brings you a two day workshop on “Quality Metrics and Quality Culture” scheduled on 11-12 December at The Westin, Mumbai.

With the launch of FDA’s Quality Metrics Initiative in January 2018, the FDA is focussing on risk-based approach towards product quality, inspections and regulations. This program intends to collect data to quantify the establishment’s quality management systems and quality culture. The FDA intends to use the submitted data and quality metrics to help ensure that their policies and practices continue to support continuous improvement and innovation in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

Even though the industry stands to benefit from the initiative there is a lack of clarity regarding its impact and implications on Indian companies.
