Even in the “Make In India” Conference Arranged by DIPP (Dept of Industrial Promotion and Policies) on Dec 29th with Prime Minister’s Concluding Remarks, Medical Devices Got Some Attention. Both Secretaries of Dept of Pharmaceuticals and Dept of Science and Technology/ Biotechnology Assures of right Policies and Eco System to Ensure “ Make in India” Vision is realised even in medical Devices Field which is close to 35,000 CRS Industry with Over 80% import Dependency. We are all hopeful with New Initiatives like 100% FDI for both Green/Brown Field Projects, Right Incentives for Domestic Manufacturing and Buy India Policy, Medical Devices also will grow like Pharma Industry starting from 2015 and become import independent by 2020.
