The film according to Dr. VijayaKrishnan, is aimed to change our understanding of Childbirth. The Movie describes a new paradigm in Natural Birth at The Sanctum Natural Birth Center.
A preview of the movie was organised for the media. The movie follows the journey of Dr. Vijaya Krishnan. It raises public awareness about outstanding suitability of Professional Midwifery in India under the Collaborative Model of Care, which can be easily replicated worldwide.
The movie follows three couples who have very different histories, as they navigate their labour and birth in very different manner.

The pain of pregnant woman’s internal check-up is more than the pregnancy itself. From first check up onwards mothers to be are turned into patients said Dr. Vijaya.
When checked-up babies born out of elective Caesarian are poor in IQ than those born after full term she said. We are producing less intelligent people, she observed and added that Uterus is the strongest organ of a woman. If there is any organ that prevents natural birth is our mind she said. We are creating a fear psychosis about the birth. This is not fair, she added.
Naturally women are very strong, but we are making them week, Dr. Vijaya told.
Dr. Vijaya Krishnan is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). She is a leading official Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator in India. She also runs the Healthy Mother Breastfeeding Support Network. She is the author of many research papers published in professional journals. She is a visiting lecturer at many colleges, leading health care centers, and institutions.
