Artur Chabowski, member of the Board at Mabion S.A. took over as President of the Board on 14 December 2016. He will replace Maciej Wieczorek who served as President of the Board for many years and who will join the Supervisory Board as well as take over management of the Company’s Scientific & Advisory Board.
New Delhi, December 30, 2016: Maciej Wieczorek: My decision to resign from the position of President of the Board is due to the fact that we have completed a certain stage of development which was marked by the conclusion of a partnering contract regarding MabionCD20 for EU member states and the Balkan countries. The next stages, i.e. extensive international efforts, obtaining a USA partner and increasing our international presence need to be managed by a person who will be fully committed and whose competences will ensure successful carrying out of these objectives. My decision, and the fact that it was taken now, is also related to my numerous professional obligations, as well as the October IPO of Celon Pharma S.A., where I am the main shareholder and President of the Board. This scenario was adopted at the very beginning, as Mabion was being established.
Maciej Wieczorek will continue to actively shape the Company’s business strategy in terms of development and commercialisation of new therapies in collaboration with the Management Board by joining the Supervisory Board and chairing the Company’s Scientific & Advisory Board, as well as participating in the company’s strategic decisions.
Artur Chabowski has been associated with Mabion since the very beginning, as a shareholder and member of the Supervisory Board. As member of the Board he has been actively participating in the process of managing the Company for over a year now; furthermore he played a crucial role in the process of acquiring a partner for EU member states and the Balkan countries in relation to MabionCD20. The responsibilities will therefore be handed over smoothly and without and without disruption to the operations of the Company. There is no doubt in my mind as to Artur’s readiness to take over as President; his skills and experience are crucial to the business goals Mabion S.A. is currently facing. – Maciej Wieczorek added.

Artur Chabowski is an experienced manager with over 20 years of experience in management organisation, international financing and investment banking. He executed numerous international mergers and acquisitions and capital market financing transactions in Poland and other ECC countries. He graduated from the Organisation and Management Department at the Warsaw University of Technology and post-graduate studies at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University.
