Apex Group of Hospitals conducts cleanliness drive in Mumbai

Mumbai, October 05, 2023 :  On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, employees of Apex Group of Hospitals conducted a cleanliness drive at Veena Nagar Mulund, Borivali West Railway Station Area, Vegetable Market near Borivali Railway Station, Babhai Naka, Dattapada Road, Lokhandwala Complex Kandivali, Chandavarkar Road, Borivali West Station Road.  More than 200 employees of Apex Group of Hospitals  carried out “Mahaswachhata Abhiyan” in Borivali, Kandivali & Mulund. The objective of this campaign was not only to clean the garbage but also to bring awareness about cleanliness among all the people.According to the hospital, the drive was organised to spread the message about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness for a healthier nation. This drive was a step towards encouraging doctors, healthcare institutions, hospitals and healthcare companies to promote better health and hygiene through such platforms. Nurses, doctors, hospital staff and security officers participated in this campaign. Under this cleaning campaign, the roads, small lanes, and footpaths near the hospital were cleaned.

Giving more information about this, Director of Apex Group of Hospitals Dr. Tanvi Shah said, “According to the statistics of the World Health Organization, 60 percent of diseases are caused by unsanitary and impure water and from this realization, all our employees willingly participated in this initiative of the central government because hospitals and cleanliness are very closely related. The act or process of creating sanitary or healthy environmental conditions is ‘public sanitation’. Our employees participate in every Swachha Abhiyan conducted by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. We collected more than 50 KG of garbage in this cleanliness drive.”
