New Delhi, May 27, 2017: To deliver rapid medical assistance at emergency situation, Hospital chain Aster DM Healthcare today unveiled an emergency App in the capital that navigates patient to get access to Basic Life Support (BLS) during ‘golden hour’-the first hour after an incident.
Prior to the App’s launch today, delegates from Aster DM Healthcare along with ministers and MP’s today met the President Pranab Mukherjee for the briefing of the App at Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
Founder, chairman and managing director, DM Healthcare, Dr Azad Moopen said, “This is a new approach using technology to handle healthcare. The App is a link among patient, responder, ambulance and hospital.”
“Once the patient presses the icon, the responder gets access by support of the backend control center. The App is also equipped with information on handling medical emergencies, emergency number and other useful information,” added Dr Moopen.
The company also said that as part of their Aster Volunteers programme, they have initiated 3,00,000 new BLS training for volunteers over next three years across India and Gulf countries for widening the current pool of 2,00,000 BLS trained people.
