Bengaluru, October 05, 2023: A team of 35 personnel who are part of the Aster volunteers in association with Fuziho – eco-social venture that aims to enhance value-chain efficiencies of products that resolve socio-economic and environmental issues carried out a sapling plantation drive by planting around 250 saplings of various tree species in Hanumanthapura village in Chikkaballapur, close to Isha yoga centre. The idea of the drive was to improve the water retention capacity of the place, and reduce carbon footprint. The other aim was also to plant those species like Mahagony, Jamun etc. that would be of commercial viability to the farmer after a few years.
Dr Prasanth, CEO of Aster RV Hospital stated “Humans have caused significant obliteration by prioritizing urbanization. “Therefore, preserving the environment is necessary for us, and it should be the central objective for the new generations. Compassion is building a green and sustainable planet. This tree planting drive is our humble attempt to celebrate our nature while reducing our carbon footprint and reinforcing our city folk’s sense of obligation to keep the neighborhood clean and green.”
“Tree plantation is not just something that should be done; instead, it is a necessity, the urgent need of the hour. Planting trees is especially important to protect our environment against air pollution and global warming. To this end, our Aster volunteers have been actively involved in organizing tree plantation campaigns,” stated Mr. Rohan, CSSR Head, Aster RV Hospital.
