AYUSH Visa Catapults Indian Hospitals to New Heights: Dr Puneet, Founder of Karma Ayurveda, Speaks at AYUSH Sector Conference

New Delhi, December 18,  2023 :  Amid the growing interest in medical tourism in India, healthcare luminaries converged at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the “Conference on Rising Opportunities in Medical Value Travel in AYUSH Sector” on 14 December 2023. The event, graced by dignitaries from the government, pharmaceutical companies, and hospitals, delved into the burgeoning field of medical tourism in India and its prospects for advancement.

Dr. Puneet, Ayurveda Physician & Founder-Director of Karma Ayurveda, shared insights into Ayurvedic principles at the conference. He remarked, “Ayurveda, originating 5000 years ago in India, embodies the essence of a life free from medicines. Our focus at Karma Ayurveda is on maintaining the health of the healthy and treating the diseased. We are proud to be the first Ayurvedic hospital empanelled with ECHS  (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme). It is a groundbreaking initiative by which we will be able to provide cashless treatments  at par with our allopathic counterparts.”

Highlighting the pivotal role of the AYUSH visa, Dr Puneet asserted, “The AYUSH visa has provided a significant boost to Indian hospitals, facilitating the travel of international patients seeking traditional healthcare services. Karma Ayurveda is committed to assisting patients in obtaining AYUSH visas and providing comprehensive services, including personalized treatment plans and accommodation.”

Ayurveda emphasizes taking a holistic approach. It works on one’s Prakriti (constitution) and recognizes seven bodily tissues (dhatus) and waste products (malas). Karma Ayurveda’s unique offerings extend beyond traditional treatments, with customized strategies for international patients. Its Ayurvedic treatment packages integrate therapies, wellness programs, and personalized care. This holistic approach positions Ayurveda as an attractive option for medical tourists seeking comprehensive and natural healthcare solutions.

Anticipating future collaborations, experts concluded that they expect further regulatory support from the AYUSH ministry for Ayurveda’s growth, both domestically and internationally.
