Bangalore, December 19, 2022: For almost three years Covid unleashed terror across the world. Not only did it bring the world to a standstill, it stole from people the small moments of joys like celebrating birthdays, baby showers and other milestones. For the first time post Covid, Aster RV Hospital hosted expectant parents a ‘Baby Shower’. The occasion organized at the hospital gave to-be parents a fun-filled day as well as activities on baby care. A line up of interactive sessions were lined up for the couples who participated in the games and also the training before they embarked on the journey of parenthood.
The afternoon started with counselling sessions for 24 to-be-parents on labor and delivery, nutrition, exercises, breathing techniques, lactation, golden hour and other interactive sessions. It was followed by Mommy makeovers, fun games, and tips on birthing, photo sessions for the couple. It was not just a ‘Baby Shower’ as the expectant mothers got a chance to walk the ramp in best attire. There was cake cutting and prize distribution followed by high tea. The event also gave an opportunity for expectant parents to interact with their gynecologists informally and meet the core team which will assist them during their stay in hospital. The event also was an ice breaker as it helped the expectant mothers to reduce their apprehension for the impending big day in hospital by making them feel at home.
“With the nuclear families on the rise, it’s equally important that both mother and father are well-equipped to handle and care for their little bundle of joy. Also, to make to-be moms and dads feel special and cared before their baby arrives, Aster RV Hospital organized a fun filled day for them. The would-be fathers were also provided an educative and awareness session on how to take care of their babies, how to change the diaper, calm down the baby while crying and many more,” said a representative of the hospital.
One expectant mother said, “Being away from parents during pregnancy is very difficult. But the love and care Aster RV Hospital has given me has reduced that emptiness during this loveliest phase of my life.” She was joined by other expectant mothers who said, “I feel like it’s not a show but it’s the joy with the hospital team. Thanks to Aster RV Hospital for making me happy with unforgettable moments. It means a lot that they care and show appreciation toward the moms,” said another.
