Cabinet approves signing of MoU between India and Jordan on Cooperation in Health Sector

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi with the King of Jordan His Majesty Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein, at Amman, Jordan on February 09, 2018.

New Delhi, March 02, 2018: The Union Cabinet led by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has affirmed the proposition for marking of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) amongst India and Jordan on participation in the field of Health and Medical Science.

The MoU covers the accompanying zones of participation:

(I) Universal Health Coverage (UHC);

(ii) Health System Governance;

(iii) Services and Information Technology in Health;

(iv) Health Research;

(v) National Health Statistics;

(vi) Health Finance and Health Economy;

(vii) Chronic Disease Control;

(viii) Tobacco Control;

(ix) Diagnosis, Treatment and Medication in Tuberculosis;

(x) Regulation of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices; and

(xi) Any other zone of participation as might be commonly chosen

upon.

A Working Group will be set up to additionally expound the subtle elements of participation and to supervise the usage of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
