Ahmedabad, February 07, 2018: Chairman cum Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, which was expanding its base in India, Azad Moopen on Tuesday said that the Modicare scheme announced in the recent budget would have a tremendous positive impact on the healthcare segment in India.
Addressing a press conference here, Moopen said that the healthcare sector was not impacted by the ongoing crash of the stock markets.
This shows that the sector which was going strong despite the sluggishness in world markets for past two to 3 years will emerge stronger in the coming days.
”The Modicare scheme envisaged to provide health insurance to all in India will give a major boost to the healthcare sector as it would enable middle and lower income group people also to avail better healthcare facilities.
This scheme whenever implemented will create huge opportunities for the sector,” he said.
