Columbia Asia Hospital-Ghaziabad celebrates Women’s day week with women at the Lioness Club Nehru Nagar

Ghaziabad, March 19, 2016: Women are the backbone of our society. They usually get ignored by their family & even by themselves. They get so caught up & busy in taking care of their families & work that they ignore their own well being.

Columbia Asia hospital, Ghaziabad took the initiative to make women aware of their health & well being & make them feel empowered & thank them for their contribution in the society.

They organized a session with women at the Lioness club, Nehru Nagar. The event was an open forum discussion with the members. A total of 25 members took participation in the event. The theme of the discussion was. The team of doctors involved were, Dr. Vinieta Diwakar (Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist), Dr. Ranjana Becon (Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist), Dr. Romsha Vashisht (Dentist), Ms. Neelima Sharma (Physiotherapist), Ms. Aditi Sharma (Dietician)

The team of the doctors enlightened the members of the Lioness Club about various health issues related to women right from childhood to adolescent to parenthood and elder age. The session covered the details of how to keep oneself healthy taking in consideration all the aspects of a woman’s life.

The dental doctor briefed about how to take good care of teeth, what all issues a lady faces during different age group. Similarly the physiotherapist discussed about what type of exercises they can do and what exercise they can inculcate in their routine work so that the work does not get hampered and simultaneously their health is also maintained. The dietician covered the diet part of all the ladies keeping in mind the different age groups so that they keep a check on themselves as well as on their parents and children.

After that the OBS & Gyne consultant had a very healthy session on how an all-round development & care is required in keeping their work load in mind & not let stress affect their health. They also made them aware of how they can keep their daughter as well their mother healthy and what all precautions they should take at what age.

Lastly cake cutting ceremony was done by the youngest member of the group. Along with felicitating women participants for their incredible courage & determination & more importantly being women
