Committed to planting 1 lac trees over a period of 3 years. , Cadila Pharmaceuticals plants 2000 trees across its campuses in Jammu, Ankleshwar, Dholka, and Bhat.

New Delhi, June 08, 2019: Ardently adhering to its responsible business practices, Cadila Pharma yet again fulfilled its commitment to sustainability. To mark the occasion of World Environment Day (WED), it vowed to plant a total of 1,00,000 saplings in its campuses all over India in 36 months. Till now, the organization has already planted more than 1,500 plants across its campuses in five locations at Ahmedabad, Dholka, Kadi, Jammu, and Ankleshwar.
Cadila Pharma’s pledge to contribute towards enhancing the planet’s health starts with its Corporate Campus at Bhat. The campus is built with an intention to sustain the natural ecosystem in the surrounding areas and promote harmony between human and nature. Its recent improvement project for Effluent Treatment Plant is another example of the organization’s commitment towards sustainability. As an extension to this, Cadila is continuously working towards a safer, cleaner and greener environment, as well. Therefore, planting gardens or walkways with sapling was its next approach. So, on June 5, the organization took the oath to establish a green cover with the plantation of a total of one lakh trees.
Expressing his views on the same, Mr B.V. Suresh, CSR Head Cadila Pharmaceuticals said, “We have always been aligned with United Nation’s vision of sustainable development. It was only natural for us to adopt its Goals one at a time and initiate with policies and drive that can create a better surrounding, within and outside the organization. Till date this year, Cadia has planted over 5500 tree saplings across Gujarat itself and are gearing up to plant 38,000 trees by 2020.”
