Thyroid disorders are one of the conditions that is treatable and yet ignored by many. While hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism does not increase the risk of thyroid cancer, factors like pre-existing thyroid diseases such as goiter or inflammation can lead to thyroid cancer.
