Doctors network Curofy saves lives yet again in Chennai

New Delhi, December 18, 2015: Doctors networking application, Curofy saves lives yet again in Chennai by its engaged doctors’ community. Chennai floods had been a wake-up call for all the major cities in the country. Curofy like all was en-grieved by the state of affairs in Chennai. Start ups, MNCs had all stepped up in aid of the flood victims in varying capacities. Curofy, the doctors’ network also did its part.

With an engaged community of 20,000+ doctors, Curofy had appealed to the doctors of Chennai to step up and help their disaster stricken city. They tied up with World Vision India in their efforts. Curofy reached out to the doctors in their network to join the relief camps for the affected that World Vision India had set up.

“World Vision India and Curofy are planning to organize health camps for the people affected by the recent floods in Chennai. 15 doctors registered with Curofy would help in conducting these health camps.” said Charles Newton, one of the SENIOR MEMBERS OF WORLD VISION INDIA. The relief camps were in full swing and on-ground doctors were the need of the hour. “

We at Curofy hope to negate the deficiency in the number of doctors with a connected and engaged community. It is in times like these when we are able to help in whatever capacity, is what makes us proud.” said MUDIT VIJAYVERGIYA, CO-FOUNDER, CUROFY. “Disasters are never desirable and it often brings out the best and worst in people and the response of our start-up ecosystem has been commendable.” he added.

Previously, during the Nepal Earthquake, Curofy sent a team of 10 doctors to provide medical support and treatment to those affected by the earthquake in Nepal.
