Kolkata, July 08, 2016: It’s not everyday that a dentist comes out of their peripheral mindset and specifically work towards making a dental visit pleasant, quick and least painful. Dr. Kamlesh Kothari is a visionary in this regard. Having completed his masters and advanced maxillofacial trauma training from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai and completing his DNB subsequently, Dr. Kothari had always envisioned the patients’ experience to be free of stress and tension. With a focus on this aspect, Dr. Kothari launched Aesthetica in September 2009 to offer Kolkata its first state of the art, hi-end dental centre which with its modern set up would address the main concerns of any dental patient – anxiety, long waiting period, hygiene and professional transparent care.
Dr. Kothari also holds a double prestigious AO Fellowship in cranio-maxillofacial surgery, from University of Freiburg (Germany) and Wales (UK) and was further trained in cosmetic jaw surgery and basic dental implantology from RDI, Chennai and Global Institute of Implant training, Neo – Biotech – at (Seoul – Korea). Apart from being the Founder & Clinical Director at Aesthetica, Dr. Kothari dons many hats as he is the clinical director of KITE (Kolkata Implant Training & Education Academy) and Project director (Kolkata) for SMILE TRAIN (USA) for which they have performed 3500 surgeries for the treatment of cleft lips and palates. He extensively also works for charity, recently being invited to perform surgeries in Ghana to eradicate cleft lip in the country and restore smiles to underprivileged children. He also has been awarded as the “Implantologist of the year – 2013”.
Another facet of Dr. Kothari is his entrepreneurship skills. He co-founded CloneMe, a company established in 2015, with a vision to revolutionize the concept of personalized 3D printing for consumers and bespoke 3D printed gifting in India. He is a global speaker on 3D printing, travelling across the world for the same. An entrepreneur par excellence he regularly contributes to various technology and entrepreneurship journals while also giving motivational lectures around the country. Interestingly Dr. Kothari is trying to revolutionise his own field of dentistry by integrating 3D printing technology in it, thereby offering his patients an advanced and cutting edge treatment.
