New Delhi, July 29, 2019: Satinder K Lambah, Former Special Envoy of the Prime Minister and a seasoned diplomat who helmed the Centre for two terms, handed over the baton to Dr Forbes on the 24th of July, 2019.
Dr Naushad Forbes is the Co-Chairman of Forbes Marshall Private Limited, a leading Steam Engineering and Control Instrumentation firm, in India. He has also been an academic for a large part of his life, having served as a visiting faculty at his alma mater, Stanford University, from 1987 to 2004. It is from this very university that he received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees.
Dr Forbes is on the Board of several educational institutions and public companies. He also serves as the Chairman of Centre for Technology, Innovation and Economic Research in Pune. He is an active member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) where he has at various times chaired the National Committees on Higher Education, Innovation, Technology and International Business. He also led CII as its President from 2016 to 2017.
Dr Forbes brings with him experience, expertise and a deep commitment to dialogue and ethical leadership. The Centre looks forward to achieving greater heights under his guidance.
