The drakt group is literally a company formed in the backyard of a handful of its oldest board members .in the year 1987 Mr.R.Dasgupta (marketing director dppl), Mr.S.Roychowdhury (marketing director di) both men from the pharmaceutical marketing industry, Mr Bibhas Saha (chairman & legal department director ) income tax lawyer & consultant, Mr Pabitra Chakraborty (financial director)sales tax lawyer, Mr Sanjoy Paul (company affairs director) income tax lawyer came together as partners to form the mother organisation by the name of Drakt international.
The partnership so forged on paper was just a facade that covered a truly emotional bond between the founders & above everything else was their dream to create a truly world class organisation. This emotional tone of the company has always been its usp, specially for the people it employs. What they get is an atmosphere free of bureaucracy or red tapes. Where every departmental head is easily accessible & everyone is made to feel at home.
In the year 1997, 10 years after the birth of Drakt international, the founders once again felt the need to form a diversification to pursue a set of different goals, with different products ,thence was born Drakt pharmaceutical, since the first unit was built in Kolkata, the founders decided to reach out to Gujarat when it came to establishing its second unit.
Since then both companies have embraced myriad opportunities to attain a credible position in the ethical Indian pharmaceutical market & create brands that have stood the test of time & competition.
