Mumbai, February 08, 2017: In a step toward providing consumers with access to real-time air quality data, Eureka Forbes,India’s leading health &hygiene company, today announces its collaboration with BreezoMeter, the leading global air quality analytics provider. Through the partnership, Eureka Forbes is adding outdoor air quality data to its line of air purifiers, Dr. Aeroguard, providing consumers with actionable information such as the dominant pollutant in the area and its concentration in the air.
Through this association, Eureka Forbes will utilize BreezoMeter’s data to help its customers monitor the air quality in their exact location and purify the surrounding air as a result. This will help consumers make informed decisions and prevent themselves from prolonged exposure to polluted air, leading to a healthier lifestyle.
In the past, there’s been a significant increase in both indoor and outdoor air pollution levels throughout India. The quality of air in most of the cities has dipped below the prescribed standards of the World Health Organization, leading to an increase in several respiratory diseases, such as lung ailments, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Research also estimates more than 1.4 million people die prematurely every year in India due to household and outdoor air pollution.
Sharing his thoughts on this initiative, Mr. Marzin Shroff, CEO of Eureka Forbes Limited said, “India has recently witnessed an alarming increase in air pollution levels over the past few years. With this partnership, we aim to inform and educate consumers on the deteriorating air quality in their location and provide them with technological solutions to create a healthy environment. Through the provision of accurate air quality data, our customers will be able to make smarter decisions with regards to their personal air pollution exposure. We are hoping to make a significant difference in our society with the support of a like minded organization like BreezoMeter.”
