New Delhi, September 11, 2021: About one and a half year ago, ‘normal life’ as we know it came to an abrupt halt. Everything shut down and all of us were forced to remain confined within the four walls of our homes. Naturally, the never seen before nor predicted pandemic took a toll on people physically, mentally and emotionally. It was as though we’re living in a dystopian film setting, only this time it was real.
What unfolded in the coming months was heightened levels of anxiety due to increased workload, no time for a digital transition and everyone needing some sort of clarity but getting none. Today, it is difficult to find a single person who is not stressed about something, be it a healthy young child or a senior citizen. Health is of paramount importance and so is relaxation.Gripped by the pandemic, Shalom Float and Wellness Centre, India’s first dedicated Floatation Therapy Centre also closed abruptly in March 2020. At Shalom, the one thing that’s common is the testimony of people who’ve floated. Some are relieved from muscle soreness, some have decreased back and neck pains, some are gushing about their glowing skin and some are excited to pursue their dreams after getting their undivided me-time. Sensing the immense contribution that Flotation Therapy can provide in times like these, on 15^th August 2021, the centre reopened to welcome customers in accordance with all government guidelines and safety protocols. Previously based in Koregaon Park, it has now shifted to Aundh towards west Pune.
