Free health check-up for school students conducted by Columbia Asia Hospital, Hebbal

Bangalore, September 18, 2019: Columbia Asia Hospital, Hebbal conducted free health check-up for the students studying in grade 1 to grade 8th at the Trio World School campus in Sahakarnagar. A total of 525 students underwent overall health check-up like oral hygiene, Ear and Eye check-up. At the health camp, children were given necessary medical advice and precautionary measures were given to the students. The health examinations were conducted by team of doctors and trained representatives from Columbia Asia Hospital, Hebbal.

Mr Arun SH, General Manager, Columbia Asia Hospital, Hebbal said, “It was overwhelming to see the children enthusiastically participate in the health Check-up camp. Children are future of tomorrow, hence there need to be awareness and education around leading a healthy life at a young age. Today’s kids are easily exposed to different health issues related to eye and oral health at a very tender age and the health check-up will help in identifying the health problem and managing their health. The health check-up has helped in raising awareness among the parents and students on the importance of health and early diagnosis of any health-related problems.”

Ms. Bela Murthy, Principal, TRIO World School said, “We are very grateful to Columbia Asia Hospital, Hebbal who have very graciously come forward and supported us by setting up a week long health camp at our campus. School going children need to have health check-up done on a regular basis, as minor health issues may prevent them from being regular to school. Through the camp we were able to identify the health condition of our students which even the parents might sometimes overlook. The school with the inputs from the hospital have drawn up a nutritious diet plan for the students and which will be shared with the parents.”
