Genome Valley Excellence awards

Hyderabad February 19, 2014:- Nobel Laureate Harald zur Hausen and UK-based health care multinational company, GSK, were awarded the Genome Valley Excellence Awards 2014.

The awards were presented to Hausen and Rogerio Ribeiro, Senior Vice President, GSK by K Pradeep Chandra, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, Government of Andhra Pradesh in the inaugural ceremony of BioAsia 2014 held here on Monday.

While Hausen was awarded for his contribution in the treatment of cervical cancer, GSK was chosen in view of its contribution to public health and life sciences.
