Goa Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (GAPL) a State Public Sector Enterprise incorporated in the year 1980, as a joint venture between Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd. (HAL) Pune and EDC Ltd (Govt. of Goa Undertaking), a premier financial institution of Goa. The share holdings of HAL in GAPL was transferred in favour of EDC LTD in the year 1987, with the consent of Government of India, and since then GAPL is functioning as state Undertaking of Government of Goa.
GAPL’s factory premises is spread out over approximate 84,000 Sq. mtr campus, comprising approximate 52,000 sq.ft built up area. The plant is situated in a pollution free clean environment and well connected with Road, Rail and Air. The nearest railway station (Pernem) is about 6 Kms, on Konkan Rail, 5 Kms from National Highway NH17 and only 15 kms away from the proposed International Airport at Mopa, Pernem, Goa.
