Bengaluru, May 20, 2026: HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited (HCG), India’s largest dedicated cancer hospital network, today announced the launch of its new comprehensive cancer hospital in Byatarayanapura (Hebbal), strengthening access to advanced oncology care in North Bengaluru. The new facility marks a major advancement in the region’s oncology landscape, bringing together clinical excellence, compassionate care and advanced technology to make world-class cancer treatment more accessible to people across Karnataka.
Marking a significant milestone in precision oncology, the new facility with up to 132-beds introduces Karnataka’s first Elekta Unity MR-Linac, one of the world’s most advanced precision radiation therapy platforms. The technology combines high-quality MRI imaging with a linear accelerator to enable highly precise, adaptive cancer treatment. Designed as a full-spectrum oncology centre, the hospital brings together diagnosis, treatment, recovery support, and patient-centric care under one roof, making world-class cancer care more accessible to patients across North Bengaluru.
Abhinaya Chakravarthy Baadashah Kichcha Sudeep, Renowned Actor & Director (Sandalwood), who inaugurated the facility said, “Cancer is a journey that affects not just the patient, but the entire family. What makes a real difference is timely diagnosis, awareness, and access to the right treatment at the right time. HCG’s new Hebbal facility is a powerful step in that direction, bringing advanced technology and expert care closer to people. It is heartening to see such world-class cancer care becoming more accessible for families in Bengaluru and across Karnataka.”
Speaking on the launch, Dr. B. S. Ajaikumar, Founder & Chairman of HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited (HCG), said: “Cancer care today has become increasingly data-driven, technology-oriented and focused on improving long-term outcomes. Our goal is not only to prevent recurrences, but also to make even advanced and metastatic cancers manageable through personalised, multidisciplinary care.
We are very happy to launch our new centre at Hebbal, North Bengaluru, bringing state-of-the-art infrastructure and Karnataka’s first MR-Linac technology to the region. This marks an important step forward in precision-led cancer treatment and reinforces HCG’s commitment to making advanced oncology care more accessible.
As a founder, I have always believed in providing the right treatment to the patient the first time, because that is when we achieve the best outcomes. The launch of our Hebbal centre is another important milestone in HCG’s pursuit of excellence in cancer care.”
At the heart of the facility is the Elekta Unity MR-Linac, a breakthrough radiation oncology platform being introduced for the first time in Karnataka. This advanced technology integrates high-quality MRI imaging with a linear accelerator, enabling real-time visualisation of the tumour during treatment. The result is highly precise, adaptive radiation therapy that allows clinicians to treat cancer with exceptional accuracy while helping protect surrounding healthy tissue.
Dr. Manish Mattoo, Executive Director & CEO, HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited (HCG), said, “HCG Hebbal brings together everything we stand for, people-centric care, multidisciplinary expertise, preventive focus and advanced technology. With MR-Linac, we are introducing a major upgrade to our oncology services and making technology-first cancer care more accessible, especially for people of Karnataka. HCG Hebbal reflects our 35-year legacy of ‘adding life to years’, bringing together clinical excellence, compassionate care, and cutting-edge technology to improve cancer outcomes.”
The hospital is equipped with Accuray TomoTherapy with Radixact, further strengthening its radiation oncology capabilities, along with an 80-slice Digital PET-CT scanner for precise, high-resolution diagnostic imaging. In addition to advanced imaging and radiation therapy, HCG Hebbal features five robotic-assisted modular operation theatres, 19 chemotherapy daycare beds, 14 premium treatment bays, and a 15-bed ICU and HDU. The facility is also supported by a comprehensive range of diagnostic and clinical services, including endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, advanced laboratories, histopathology, frozen section services and blood storage.
“The launch of our Hebbal cancer hospital marks an important milestone in HCG’s continued commitment to expanding access to advanced cancer care in Bengaluru. This new facility brings together our legacy of clinical excellence, compassionate care, and cutting-edge technology in a thoughtfully designed environment. Said Ms. Manisha Kumar, COO, Karnataka, HCG Cancer Hospital
