New Delhi, September 25, 2013: HCG Pinkathon, India’s 1st International Women’s 10K – Run, was held in National Capital, to create awareness on breast cancer,
promote health and fitness among women. More than 2500 women from corporates, colleges, nurses, social clubs and Doctors participated in the run under various categories. The event was organised by Maximus events and HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd, The Specialist in Cancer Care and was flagged of by Ms. Gul Panag, Actor. The money raised out of the event would be used to treat economically challenged cancer patients.
In the 10K category, the prize was won by Shubha Bhargava, 5K category, Garima Takyai and 3K Deepika Joshi.
According to Population based cancer registry/ICMR Study, the incidence of breast cancer in Delhi – 32.3 per 1,00,000/New cases diagnosed per year and by 2015 we will have 1,06,214/New cases will be diagnosed every year in India.
