Mumbai, October 27, 2020: With the introduction of the new Tele and Video consultation platforms Health spring, providers of primary healthcare services, have successfully carried out over 200+ consultations amongst dental patients during the pandemic. Keeping in mind the high-risk factors involved in the dental industry due to the proximity between a patient and doctor, Health spring has ensured utmost care and safety in providing dental services during emergencies as well.
One of the key steps implemented to ensure safety is that the appointments are scheduled with a minimum interval of 30 minutes between each appointment. Further, a patient’s chief complaint is first understood via tele or video consultations post which, next steps are accordingly recommended. Health spring has been laying emphasis on preventive dental care and have kept a close check upon the dental well being of more than 300 member families. They have successfully carried out treatments like root canals, extractions, sealing & filling cavities, fluoride treatments along with replacement procedures like Crowns / Bridges & Implants, Dentures and esthetic treatments like Veneers, Braces & Aligners.
Prior to the consultation, each patient is required to fill a COVID consent form that includes compulsory details of their travel history followed by routine temperature checks at the center and checking of pulse with an oximeter. To guarantee complete safety and rule out any doubts, Health spring also conducts in house Antigen and Antibody testing before proceeding with dental treatments, if required. These tests are available at all the clinics and can also be availed at Home.
Commenting on the new addition to the brand’s services, Dr. Gautam Sen, Chairman and Founder of Health spring said, “At Health spring, it is our promise to offer proper medical attention to all our patrons under one roof and we continue to stand by it despite COVID-19. Although the times are extremely challenging, we cannot ignore dental health. It is extremely important to maintain good oral hygiene and address an emergency that requires immediate attention. We are undertaking every measure to ensure the safety of our doctors and patients. All treatments are carried out using essential protective wear, sanitization and hygiene.”
Maintaining good dental hygiene is extremely important for one’s well being. Like other areas of the body, the mouth teems with bacteria – mostly harmless. But it is also the entry point to the digestive and respiratory tracts, and some of these bacteria can cause disease. Normally the body’s natural defenses and good oral health care, such as daily brushing and flossing, keep bacteria under control. However, without proper oral hygiene, bacteria can reach levels that might lead to oral infections, such as tooth decay and gum disease. Hence it is crucial to not ignore dental checkups and take timely treatments.
All dental services can be availed at Health spring clinics in Mumbai and Pune.
