Ahmedabad, March 04, 2022: Hester is an organisation that has always encouraged women’s leadership, diversity, inclusion and equality in its ranks. The heads of plant operations in all our three campuses in India, Nepal and Tanzania are women. The Executive Director of the company is Ms Priya Gandhi, the daughter of Mr. Rajiv Gandhi- the founder, CEO and MD, Hester Biosciences. It is Hester’s endeavour to participate in closing the gender gap as an organisation with great responsibility in global health and now ‘one health’.
Hester is committed to nurturing and grooming talented women leaders in a safe, supportive and conducive environment. Additionally, we have women employees in most of our key functions including Research & Development, Quality Control, Production, Quality Assurance, and Communications, among others.
Recently, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Hester ran a social media and internal communication campaign featuring women scientists from our campuses in India, Africa and Nepal. The campaign featured their role, contributions and aims as women in science. It also represented Hester’s multifaceted and multinational female workforce, and aimed at motivating and inspiring other women and girls to make a mark in science and technology.
