Himalaya Optical’ Sports Eye Gear Collection Dazzles One and All

Kolkata February 11,2014 :- In continuation with their aim of providing specialized eye care services to all segments of the society, Himalaya Optical announced the launch of their Sports Eye Gear collection at a glittering event in Kolkata.

Elucidating the need for a specialized eye gear, Mr. Sarat Binani, Managing Director, Himalaya Optical says, “Eye wear has become a necessity for every sports enthusiast today. More than being a style statement, sports eye wear acts as a protective shield against injuries and helps prevent dust or other particles from entering your eye”.

Different tints in sports sunglasses may enhance athletic performance in specific lighting conditions and help maintain clear vision and good visual concentration while protecting our eyes from the harsh sun and UV rays. The sports eyewear are usually made of plastic frames which  provides the wearer the most comfortable support and are lightweight and impact resistant, providing good stability and safety through performance. Nose bridges and temple grips which are non slip will mean it will remain in a stable position on your face throughout movement and when working up a sweat.  Traditionally the best frame designs for sports eyewear are wrap-around. This design not only protects the whole eye area, but it also prevents loose particles such as dust from entering the eyes and are usually resistant to debris.

Customers can choose from a variety of international brands like Oakley, Mauijim, Rayban, Carrera, Nike, Prada etc. Powered swimming sunglasses will be available in the sports collection range. This specialized sports eye gear collection will be available in all Himalaya Optical outlets across the city and is priced at Rs. 5000/- onwards.
