~Free medical centre dedicated to provide immediate medical relief to the pilgrims and locals visiting the shrine
Varanasi, September 29, 2019: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Adityanath Yogi ji today inaugurated the Aarogya Mandir under the aegis of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust and operated by Nayati Healthcare. The free medical unit will address the immediate healthcare needs of the pilgrims and locals visiting the temple.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Adityanath Yogi said, “Kashi, the oldest city in the world, is known for Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple and is also the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s karmbhoomii. On the first day of the auspicious Shardiya Navratri in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the Arogya Mandir has been launched by Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust and Nayati Healthcare, where medical facilities will be available to the devotees visiting the temple. This is a commendable initiative undertaken by the Temple Trust and Nayati.”
Speaking at the occasion, Shri Vishal Singh, CEO of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust said, “Every month millions of people from all walks of life visit the historic temple. Typically it has been seen that the pilgrims tend to suffer from ailments like joint pain, vertigo, fever, diarrhea, headache, heat stroke well as respiratory congestion and having a setup within the premise which can stabilise the patient will be beneficial for the pilgrims and locals”.

Set up near gate number 4, within the temple premises, the medical unit the is well-equipped to treat all kinds of emergencies with the provision of Lab, and OPD. This OPD and stabilization centre has a 25 member dedicated team of doctors, nurses, technicians and paramedical staff. The stabilization beds have inbuilt Monitors to record vitals of patients. The centre is equipped with Defibrillator and ECG to handle patient with cardiac emergencies. In addition, the setup also has lab facilities for medical tests such as SGOT, SGPT, creatinine, cholesterol, triglyceride, malaria, dengue, typhoid, etc.
After stabilization, critically ill patients will be shifted to the district hospital or the BHU, as required through the ambulance which is available round the clock. A full-time pharmacy has been set up inside the ‘Aarogya Mandir’, providing medicines as prescribed by the doctors. The unit will be open for 12 hours from morning 8 am to evening till 8 pm on all days. Additionally, Nayati will organize OPD by a specialist on the fourth Saturday of every month.
