Bengaluru, November 21, 2015: I Holland, a leading manufacturer of tablet tooling for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, will once again exhibit at PMEC India from 1 – 3 December, including showcasing two innovative new products launched this year.
Joining their agent, Bowman and Archer on stand D48, I Holland will introduce PMEC visitors to XDF (eXtended Dwell Flat) a novel patented elliptical head form which has been designed to increase dwell time on an existing press without the need for expensive modifications.
XDF gives users higher press speeds for challenging products and formulations and also enhances tablet compaction and cohesion. It can increase dwell time by up to 50% over a standard punch head allowing more dwell than a D-type punch on a B-type tool. This increase helps to solve compression problems without upsizing punches or investing in a new press.
Andy Dumelow, I Holland PharmaCare(R) Manager and Market Manager for India said: “we are looking forward to introducing our product portfolio to the indian market at pmec, which is a regular event in our exhibition schedule. One of the most important introductions we will make to visitors is i holland’s xdf which has been designed to give manufacturers the tool to produce superior quality tablets. It was created to be run on an existing press on standard cams. This is an important benefit of XDF as it saves on capital outlay, whilst at the same time improving and increasing productivity with enhanced tablet production, resulting in a quality tablet.
“Also being exhibited will be I Holland’s new Tool Management System IH-TMS which allows proactive monitoring of tool rotations and tooling inventory and maintenance. We will be presenting the advanced system along with our range of tooling and complimentary equipment.”
IH-TMS is a stand-alone system which allows tablet manufacturers to keep a record of tablet quantities by number of tablets, work order or batch information to ensure production is run efficiently. In addition it has the capability to archive tablet and tool images and drawings.
Available in any language and with an easy to use touch-screen interface, It incorporates an alarm to alert users of any problems including over compression, tooling replacements or if maintenance is required. It has been created for manufacturers to have a complete audit trail on production, an important process in tablet manufacture.
