Industrial Waste Management India Summit 2022

Rapid advances in technology in the form of innovation, invention, and reduction of complexity have made a presence in every walk of life. While businesses and corporates can utilize these advances to their advantage, they also have to keep in mind that they owe it to the community by, among other things, managing the disposal of industrial waste and making manufacturing processes capable of reducing pollution and other discharges, both liquid and solid. In recent times, e-waste and plastic waste also contribute considerably to the total waste stream. While regulatory authorities, along with industries, are making focused efforts on implementing guidelines and control mechanisms, the success of any initiative like this depends on discipline and responsibility on the part of every company and manufacturing unit involved.

This summit is an excellent opportunity for industry leaders to present their views and discuss on various aspects of the industrial waste ecosystem like, among others, the regulatory structure, sustainable development goals (SDG), impact on ESG, solid & wastewater management, zero effluent concept, zero landfilling practices, co-processing of waste, recycling and deriving value from waste, and generating alternative forms of industrial by-products.

Globally the market of waste management valued at around $ 1610 billion in the year 2020 and this is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.4% through to 2030 when it is expected to reach a size of around $ 2480 billion. The CAGR of global industrial waste management during the period 2020 to 2028 is expected to be 5.6%. During this period this market is expected projected to grow from $ 937 billion to $ 1435 billion. The waste management market in India is expected to be worth US$ 13.62 billion by 2025.

Realizing the importance of the market growth and the opportunity it has to offer. The summit, with its galaxy of industry leaders, can provide the path forward to the manufacturers to infuse the necessary importance to the effective and efficient management of industrial waste keeping in mind the following factors like taking steps to ensure sustainability, effective recycling, minimizing discharge of waste through process improvements, defining steps that will be in concert with the overall concept of a circular economy.
