IPA (Delhi State Branch) Honours Kalhan Bazaz with Best Performer Award 2017

New Delhi, May 17, 2018: Kalhan Bazaz, Editor & Publisher of The Indian Pharmacist,
has been honoured with the “Best Performer Award 2017” for his outstanding contribution  to the Indian Pharmaceutical Association- Delhi Branch (IPADB) for  the  last  quarter  of October to December 2017. He was given the Award during the 3rd Executive Council  (EC) meeting of IPA (Delhi State Branch) held at Governor Room, Hotel Eros, New Delhi,  on May 13, 2018. He was presented the citation and memento by the guest of onour, Pradeep Multani, Chairman of Multani Pharmaceuticals, New Delhi; along with Prof Roop K. Khar, Immediate Past President of IPA (Delhi Branch) & Principal, B.S. Anangpuria Institute of  Pharmacy, Faridabad, Haryana; Dr Farhan Jalees Ahmad, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (SPER), & Dean of School
of Interdisciplinary Science & Technology, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi; Dr Naresh Sharma, President of IPA (Delhi Branch); and Dr Gaurav Kumar Jain, Hon. Secretary of IPA (Delhi  Branch). All the EC members of the Delhi Branch too graced the historic occasion.

Currently, Bazaz is the Vice-President of IPA (Delhi Branch) and has been highly instrumental in highlighting the activities of the Delhi Branch among the public and media  at large. He has also been the Hon. Secretary of IPA (Delhi Branch) for three terms in a  row before being elected for the post of Vice-President. He is also the Central Executive
Council (CEC) member of IPA and on the Editorial Board of Pharma Times as well. “We  congratulate Kalhan Bazaz for his well-deserved honour and recognition  on behalf  of the Association,” said Dr Naresh Sharma, during the EC meeting.

Elated on receiving the award, Kalhan Bazaz, in a press statement, said, “I consider this  award as a great honour bestowed upon me which has been instituted by IPADB for the first time in its history upon its elected members.” He further added, “This is a great move by our current president, Dr Naresh Sharma, to motivate us, to share our responsibilities  and to perform for the Branch in our own unique way.” Finally, he concluded, “I dedicate this award to all the great personalities who have nurtured me to reach this level of  professional excellence, in particular, Late Mohan C. Bazaz, Editor-in-Chief, The Eastern  Pharmacist,  who motivated me to do graduation in Pharmacy and  Prof Roop Khar  who motivated me to join IPADB as an EC member 10 years back.” Bazaz is also a life  member of IPA and Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA).
