National, September 06, 2020: Gastroenterology problems are quite common amongst individuals. It is a fact that even issues like tension and stress can be the cause of gastroenterology related issues.

Gastritis was the most common problem (45.26%) and thyroid, the least common one (0.25%).
Further analysis showed that those seeking online medical help for the gastroenterology issues belonged to diverse age categories. Over 50% belonged to the age group 20-29 and 3.07% were in the 60 and above bracket. Surprisingly, the youngsters, the below 19 also were troubled by these issues and constituted 6.91% of the pie.

The platform has been actively recording the significant surges in medical consultations across various departments, post the onset of the COVID-19. The effects of COVID-19 have been widespread, and the recent data compilation suggests that there can be a strong relation between the lifestyle-induced by the pandemic and the changes in the pattern of consultations related to stomach and intestinal issues.
