Medical Entrance Examination AIPGMEE 2014

New Delhi October 25, 2013:
  • National Board of Examinations will conduct All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) for admission All India 50% quota of MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (2014 session) offered at Government Medical Colleges /Institutions except states of Andhra Pradesh and J&K.
  • The State Governments of Haryana, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and University of Delhi shall utilize the results of AIPGMEE 2014 for admission to MD/MS/ PG Diploma courses at colleges under their control. These states shall not be conducting any state entrance examination of their own.
  • Admission to MD/MS/ PG Diploma courses at institutes under Armed Forces Medical Services shall also be made on the basis of results of AIPGMEE 2014.
  • The AIPGMEE 2014 will be held as a computer based test by NBE from 25th November – 6th December, 2013 at 70 Test Centers in 38 cities in the country.
  • The details of AIPGMEE 2014 for medical courses are available at website www.nbe.gov.in
  • The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has approved the engagement of National Board of Examinations and schedule for the examination while disposing off an Interim application moved by the Central Government and National Board of Examinations in this regard.
  • The examination shall be of 3 hours 30 minutes duration In addition, 15 minutes of test tutorial time will also be given and the test comprises of 300 MCQs that are spread across different subjects of the MBBS curriculum and there shall be no negative marking.
  • Registration for the test shall be online and pre-paid test fee vouchers shall be available at 279 branches of Axis Bank across the country with effect from 24th October, 2013. Registration and Scheduling for the test can be undertaken online with effect from 26th October, 2013 at 09:30 am onwards.
  • Telephonic support through Contact Centre and Toll Free access has been made available for benefit of the candidates, w.e.f 26th October, 2013.
