Mgm Healthcare Inaugurates Two New Speciality Departments Under The Institute Of Ent , Head & Neck Surgery

Chennai, December 03, 2019: MGM Healthcare’s Institute of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery, MGM Healthcare, conducted a two-day National Speaker Programme, November 30 and December 1, which was hosted by Prof Dr Sanjeev Mohanty, Senior Consultant and Head, Institute of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery. The event saw the launch of “The Department of Phonosurgery, Sleep Apnoea and Airway Disorders” and “The Department of Head & Neck Oncology, Skull Base Surgery and Thyroid Disorders” under the Institute of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery.

The two day event which was held at the The Park Hotel and MGM HealthCare saw a huge participation of general physicians, ENT surgeons,  oncology specialists , faculty members and students from several medical colleges in and around Chennai and Pondicherry.

On November 30^th, the guest faculty was distinguished Dr Nupur Kapoor Nerurkar, Laryngologist and Voice Surgeon, Bombay Hospital. She inaugurated “The Department of Phonosurgery, Sleep Apnoea and Airway Disorders” under the Institute of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery. Post the inauguration she spoke at length about ‘Googlies on Laryngology Practice’ along with an interactive session with the audience.

The December 1st event which was conducted at MGM Healthcare, Chennai saw the renowned Prof Dr Prathamesh Pai, Professor and Consultant Surgeon, Department of Head & Neck Surgical Oncology, Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, as the guest faculty. The Chief Guest of the event was the popular playback singer, Srinivas. Prof Pai delivered a talk on ‘Skull Base Malignant Tumours – Back to the Future’.
