Mix medication with yoga for a healthy heart: BLK Super Speciality Hospital expert

New Delhi, June 25,2015: One of country’s leading heart care specialists said right blend of medication and yoga can go a long way in addressing the many woes of heart patients. Delhi, which has seen rapid rise in the number of people who are reporting heart ailments, needs to inculcate a culture of good health, where people are encouraged to focus on right practices including visit to specialist doctors and inclusion of yoga in their daily lives.

Experts comprising renowned cardiologists, orthopedicians, general physicians, nephrologists, respiratory, nutritionists, urologists and gynecologists from BLK Super Speciality Hospital provided consultation and investigation to a large number of people from around the city at SanatanDharamMandir, which had turned into a health picnic spot this Sunday.

Health Mela 2015 also offered customized health check-up package as a first step towards wellness on The International Yoga Day. Apart from tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI, ECG, PFT, uroflowmetry test doctors also emphasized on various asanas including Kapalbhati, Pranayama, Bahya Pranayama, AnulomVilom Pranayama, Bhramari Pranayama, Udggeth Pranayama and Pranav Pranayama for the patients with cardio problems. DrKaul further added that with regular medication if people also practice these asanas, they would maintain a healthy functioning heart.
