Bengaluru, December 16, 2015: Dreaming big is what got Asheesh to move away from the big boys of the corporate world and build something of his own – ground up, and Antworks was born. The name stems from his fascination with the characteristics of ants – their ability to shoulder weights 10 times their size, their dedication and singlemindedness as well as their collective ability to build highly effective ecosystems.
An outsourcing veteran with over 18 years of cross-industry global experience, Asheesh co-founded Antworks in 2015, headquartered out of Singapore.
A strong believer in ability over experience, Asheesh has fostered a smart working culture at Antworks unlike the desk-shackled approach the technology sector is known for. At Antworks, he wants to play the role of a facilitator by bringing out the best in his team and help them in achieving bigger goals than merely fulfilling their current roles.
In his words, “I am looking to make life at ANTWORKS an adventure for everyone who walks through the door. ANTWORKS will be build on 3 distinctive pillars – FRESH: FEARLESS: FAST”.
In his earlier role, Asheesh was VP and head of BPO, Asia Pacific, Japan and the Middle East and was instrumental in the success of Infosys BPO in the marketplace. Under Asheesh’s able leadership Infosys BPO grew its business through both organic and acquisitive routes and managed the region with 2 delivery centers in the Philippines and 3 in China.
Asheesh is a recognized thought leader within the BPO world and has often brought disruptive and unconventional ideas to the table. He was conferred the “People’s choice for Personal Contribution to Industry – APAC” award by The Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) in 2011 and “Thought Leader of the year – Asia” award in 2010.
Asheesh has lived and worked in many parts of the globe including India, United Kingdom, North America, Australia and now Asia.
Asheesh is an avid diver and a petrol head for Formula One. He feels it is only amidst the deep blue sea and its endlessly fascinating coral and marine life that his best ideas come to life.
