You might have signed for AMCs (annual maintenance contracts) for your water purifier, lifts and other appliances. Technicians from the relevant firms would take care of the appliances during the lifecycle of the contract.

“But what about your highly unorganised medical records that you tend to misplace,” asks Samir Tapiawala, Managing Director of MediIT Health Solutions that promotes HealthyYou, toldBusinessLine.

It is not an easy task, taking care of the multiple prescriptions for different family members and diagnostic reports and cull them out when you visit a doctor. The Mumbai-based three-year-old start-up takes AMCs from patients to take care of maintaining their health records.

Put on Microsoft Azure cloud, these records can be made available to doctors by patients. “We are present in Mumbai and Pune as of now, connecting with 1,000 doctors and some diagnostic chains. We tied up with top labs that offer discounts to the members. We are planning to expand its operations to four more cities in the next 12 months, taking on board five lakh patients and 20,000 doctors,” Samir, a homoeopathic doctor, said. As of now, it has a membership base of 50,000. It charges Rs.399 from patients annually.

Investment

The promoting team has invested Rs.3 crore so far on building the technology platform and rolling out the product. “We are in talks with investors to raise Rs.3 crore in the first round. We hope to complete the process in the next three months. These funds will support the expansion plan for the year,” Milind Mahajan, Chief Technology Officer and Director of HealthyYou, said.
