Mumbai comes together in large numbers to pedal away the stigma of mental illness

~The 2nd Edition of the city’s biggest cycling event Aditya Birla Health Ride to Mpower saw over 1200+ Mumbaikars spread awareness on Mental Health~

Mumbai, March 28, 2017: 1200+ People, 1 Common Cause, 1 Common Platform: Aditya Birla Health Ride to MPower. This Sunday, Mumbai woke up to its people coming together for the largest cycling event in the city, Aditya Birla Health Ride to MPower that aimed to spread awareness on mental well being. In its second edition, the cycle ride saw participation from over 1200 + enthusiasts across the 15 & 35KM ride starting at the iconic NCPA, Mumbai.

An initiative by MPower, India’s leading centre for mental health in the country spearheaded by Neerja and Ananya Birla, the cycle ride brought to the fore that physical fitness is as important as mental well being. “At Mpower, we are constantly working towards spreading mental health awareness and we believe large scale events like these critical in bringing about a mindset change. We are delighted that so many Mumbaikars came together to support us for this ride. What we achieve mentally will play a major role in changing our outer reality and as a society we must realize the importance of that and move towards a complete well-being”, said Neerja and Ananya Birla in a joint statement.

Aditya Birla Health Ride to MPower was preluded by events first of its kind events like the Midnight Ride, Color Ride and Tribute Ride leading up to the finale ride.

With such a large participation, Aditya Birla Health Ride to MPower has made a strong and impactful step forward in spreading awareness on the mental health menace that is slowly crippling our society.
